Asian Daughter Rules
(according to Asian parents)
- Staying out past 12 = rape. (I’m usually at a friend’s house and my friends would not rape me.)
- Driving home past 12 = bad drivers. (There’s no one even on the streets past this time…)
- Going out = drinking, drugs, and sex. (I’m really just watching movies with friends.)
- Being 18 = being 12. (Don’t think turning 18 will change anything.)
- Wanting a piercing/tattoo = wanting a baby. (I don’t even know how my parents came up with this.)

The breaking point.
We’ve all exprienced that breaking point at some point in our life. The one where our feelings eat us alive and start to tear us apart. We eventually give up on everything and feel as if there’s nothing for us left. Our pain just takes over our whole, entire body and we eventually just reach, the breaking point.
